This LENS Training Level 1 course (Foundations) is a four-day seminar:
1st Class Day: Wednesday, July 17: 11am – 5pm Pacific
2nd Class Day: Thursday, July 18: 11am – 5pm Pacific
3rd Class Day: Wednesday, July 24: 11am – 5pm Pacific
4th Class Day: Thursday, July 25: 11am – 5pm Pacific
In addition to the class days, we have 1-hour pre-work/post-work check-ins on Mondays at 4pm as follows:
Monday, July 15, 2024: 4 – 5pm Pacific
Monday, July 22, 2024: 4 – 5pm Pacific
Monday, August 5, 2024: 4 – 5pm Pacific
Monday, August 12, 2024: 4 – 5pm Pacific
These check-in group meetings are designed to review the weekly pre-work required to be completed before each training class day. The group convenes online to discuss the pre-work, prepare for the upcoming class, address questions, and discuss practice of the LENS with volunteers post training!
You will need access to a LENS System to participate in the online version of this class. Options include purchasing, renting, or borrowing a system. Please inform us in advance if you intend to rent or purchase a LENS System for this online training upon registration. Additionally, you will need volunteers to practice using the LENS throughout this two-week course.
In order to administer a LENS session, you must be actively licensed in the state you wish to practice. Each license is different according to the state/country in which you are located. You can conduct a simple search to see if the license you have includes biofeedback/neurofeedback in the scope of practice. As long as it does, that is all you need to become certified and listed as a LENS provider once you have completed the LENS Foundations training! If you are not licensed and desire to become a LENS Technician, you would need to locate someone in your area that is a licensed healthcare provider who will allow you to work under their active license (which includes biofeedback/neurofeedback in the scope of practice) as a Technician and sign the LENS Technician Agreement with you. This person does not need to be trained in LENS, or any other neurofeedback certification.
Finally, you are invited to either purchase or rent your own LENS system before the training. Alternatively, you may use a LENS System in class as part of a group. If you plan to rent or purchase a LENS system, please inform us in advance so we can prepare your system beforehand and deliver it to you during the class.
After registering for this training online, the pre-work will be emailed to you roughly one week before the first-class day.
Thank you, Ochs Labs
